Poverty is traditionally thought of as a lack of resources. However, when people in poverty are asked to describe their situation, they mention a lack of material things, but also use words like shame, humiliation, hopelessness, fear, and social isolation.
The HOPE Center seeks to address not only the material, but also the social, relational, and spiritual aspects of poverty.
We provide our program participants with opportunities for employment here at the Hope Center along with community, life coaching, counseling, workforce training and more. However, our remarkable participants who contribute to the vitality of the operations at the Hope Center – they are the ones who provide the initiative.
